Scan & lead generation

The scan is a WordPress-specific lead generation tool. When you share your scan link with a prospect, they get a free health check of their WordPress site — and the results map directly to the care plan services you provide.

Your scan referral link

Every operator has a personal scan link that looks like this:

field.is/scan?ref=your-slug

When a prospect uses your link, the scan result associates with your practice. Their site and email appear on your Leads page, giving you a warm introduction with concrete data about what their site needs.

How to share it

The scan link works anywhere you'd start a conversation about a prospect's site:

  • Email outreach — “I ran a quick check on your site and found a few things. Here's the link if you want to see for yourself.”
  • Proposals — Include the scan link so the prospect can see their own results before your call.
  • Social media — Share the generic scan page and let people check their own sites.
  • Your website — Embed the link on your own site's contact or services page.

What the prospect sees

When someone uses your scan link, they go through a short flow:

1. Enter their URL

The scan page asks for their WordPress site address. No login or account required.

2. See their results

After about 30 seconds, they get a health score and a list of findings — security issues, performance problems, SEO gaps — with severity and estimated time to fix.

3. Optionally share their email

Before seeing full results, they're asked for an email. If they provide one, it appears on your Leads page alongside their scan data.

4. See a CTA to work with you

Because the scan was associated with your practice via the ?ref= link, the results page shows “Get started with your steward” — routing them into your branded onboarding flow.

What you see

Referred scans appear on your Leads page. You can see:

  • • The site URL and health score
  • • The email they provided (if any)
  • • When the scan was run
  • • Key findings — security issues, performance, SEO

This gives you a warm lead with real data. You can reach out with specific observations about their site rather than a generic pitch.

WordPress only

The scan tool is a WordPress template feature. It checks WordPress-specific indicators — plugins, themes, core version, security headers, performance, and SEO. Non-WordPress sites won't produce meaningful results. If you manage sites on other platforms, the scan is useful for your WordPress clients specifically.
